Switzerland was a dream come true. I finally checked off the Murren Via Ferrata — a bucket list hike 2,000 feet above the valley floor. Clipping in and moving across that cliffside with the Alps stretching endlessly around me was nothing short of surreal. It felt like stepping into a dream I had carried for years.
I stayed in a mountain hostel where I met the sweetest people form Argentina. They cooked incredible steak, played live music, and filled the evenings with wine, laughter, and stories that cut through language barriers. Within hours, strangers felt like family, and I was reminded how connection can spark in the most unexpected places.
One morning, I pulled open the window, and just stood there in awe. The clouds were sitting low in the valley, and the mountains towered so high above them it felt like the world had been flipped upside down. It was the kind of view that stops you in your tracks and reminds you why you came in the first place.
Switzerland reminded me what it feels like to be fully alive. To chase the dreams you’ve held onto, to welcome connection in unexpected places, and to let the mountains remind you how beautiful it is just to be here. And yet, I know there’s still so much more of Switzerland waiting… peaks left to climb, trails left to wander, and more moments that will remind me why I fell in love with this country in the first place. Matterhorn, I’m coming for you next.
